Best Practice In Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention: Responding to the Needs of High Risk Patients Across the Diagnostic Spectrum - Jason Deselms, PhD (6 CEUs)

Prior to joining the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2007, Dr. Deselms served as the Director of Crisis and Access Services for COMCARE of Sedgwick County. He is currently the Suicide Prevention Coordinator for the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. In this capacity, Dr. Deselms is responsible for VA staff education and training regarding suicide prevention; screening and intervening with high risk veterans; and community outreach activities which educate important community partners regarding the specific needs of veterans and their families. Dr. Deselms is the Chair of the Sedgwick County Suicide Prevention Coalition and is Past President of the Kansas Psychological Association.
