The FWISD Psychological Services Department
is pleased to announce the addition of two LSSP positions for
2010-2011. The job position is posted to include the usual breath of
services that FWISD LSSPs provide; however, these two positions have a
special focus on students with emotional and behavioral issues. One
position will be dedicated to elementary and the other to middle
school. The LSSPs' efforts will center on the "Behavior Improvement
Classrooms" (BIC) for students classified with serious emotional
disturbance. Responsibilities include formulating behavior improvement
plans, providing direct interventions, monitoring student progress, and
working with contract consultants and teachers in the BIC classrooms.
The LSSP will promote inclusion services and exit from BIC. Assessment
and presentation of information at ARD meetings is expected. Some
